Import your website
Pull your help center or docs site into Dexbi and keep it up to date.
If you already have a help center, docs site or FAQ page, you don't need to copy it by hand. Website sync reads the pages and turns each one into a document.
When you're done, your site's pages are in Dexbi as documents, refreshed every week.
Start a website sync
Open Content and click Website sync.
In Main website link, paste the top of your help center, for example https://yourgame.com/help. A bare domain works too. Click Next. Dexbi looks at the site to find its pages.
Choose the pages
Give the source a Title, like "Help Center".
If the site publishes an llms.txt file (a list of pages its owner picked for AI), Dexbi offers Use the site's llms.txt. It's on by default and usually gives the cleanest result.
Otherwise you'll see Review pages to sync. Check the pages you want. Use Filter pages to find them quickly.
Advanced settings (optional)
Open Advanced settings if you need to:
- Additional URLs: add pages that aren't linked from the ones above.
- URLs to exclude: leave out pages you don't want, like a changelog or a login page.
- Follow links (Basic and up): also follow links on the pages it finds, two levels deep, to catch pages it would otherwise miss.
- Ignore canonical URLs: treat every URL as its own page. Leave it off unless pages you expect are missing.
Choose who can see it
On Target, pick the Channel where these pages can be used (default: all channels) and under Audience control, who can get answers from them (default: everyone). Most people leave both as they are.
Start the sync
Check the summary on Review and click Start sync. The site appears in Content as its own folder. Pages show up as they're imported. Click Jobs to watch the progress.
Check it works
When the pages show Live, ask the Test box a question that one of those pages answers. Open the answer's details to see which page it used.
Keeping it up to date
Dexbi re-syncs every website automatically once a week. There's no button to sync right away. If a page fails, hover Failed to see why, and click Retry.
Imported pages are read-only in Dexbi. To change one, change it on your website and it will update on the next weekly sync. If you need something Dexbi should know now, write a separate document for it.
Limits
Each plan has a limit on how many websites you can sync, how many pages one import can take, and how many pages you can import each month. See Plan limits.
Some pages get marked Discarded. That means the crawler judged them not useful as knowledge (for example an empty page). Open one to see the reason.
