What is Dexbi

An AI support agent that answers your Discord members from your own documents.

Dexbi is a bot you add to your Discord server. It answers your members' questions using documents you give it: like your FAQ, help center, rules and guides. It can answer in your community channels, inside support tickets, or both.

You set everything up in the Dexbi dashboard. You sign in there with your Discord account.

How it works

  1. You add Dexbi to your Discord server.
  2. You give it knowledge. Write documents, upload files (PDF, Word, Markdown, text) or import your website.
  3. You tell it how to behave with guidance: its tone, how to word things, and when to hand a conversation to your team.
  4. You deploy it to the channels and ticket categories where it should work.
  5. Your members ask questions and Dexbi answers them, in their own language, from your documents.

When Dexbi can't find the answer in your documents, it doesn't guess. By default it says it doesn't have that information. You can also tell it to stay quiet instead.

The two agents

Dexbi works in two places, and you set each one up on its own.

  • Public agent. Answers members in your normal channels, forums and categories. It uses Smart reply by default, so it helps people who need help and stays out of normal chat.
  • Ticket agent. Answers inside support tickets. You point it at the category your ticket bot creates tickets in, and it covers every new ticket there. It can hand a ticket to your staff, close tickets that are done, save transcripts and rename tickets.

Dexbi doesn't create tickets itself. It works with the ticket bot you already use.
