Test box
Ask Dexbi questions in the dashboard and see exactly why it answered the way it did.
The Test box lets you talk to Dexbi before your members do. It uses your real live documents and guidance, so what you see is what members get.
Open it
The Test panel is on the right of Content and Guidance. Anywhere else, click Test in the header, or press ⌘K / Ctrl+K and pick Open the Test box.
Ask a question
Type a question the way a member would and press Enter. You can attach up to 3 images, or paste them, to test questions with screenshots.
New chat clears the conversation and starts fresh. Switching servers also starts a new chat.
Test as an audience
Testing as lets you ask as a member of one of your audiences. Use it to check that premium-only documents only show up for premium members.
See why it answered
Under each answer there's a line like "2 sources · 1 guidance · escalated". Click it to see:
- Sources: the documents Dexbi used, how well each matched, and the passage it used. Click one to open that document at that passage.
- Guidance: the rules Dexbi was given for this answer, marked Escalation or Behaviour (your communication style rules). A rule listed here was given to Dexbi. That doesn't mean it changed this answer.
- Escalated: the ticket would have been handed to your team, and why. In Discord your On escalation actions would also run.
- Ticket closed: the ticket would have closed, and why. In Discord your On close actions would also run.
- Stayed quiet: Dexbi chose not to reply, and why.
What it costs
Test messages don't use your monthly replies. Each plan has its own daily number of test messages, which resets every day. See Plan limits. You can also send at most 10 test messages a minute.
Good to know
- The Test box always answers as the ticket agent, with Smart close on. The public agent's Smart reply decisions (whether to answer at all) aren't shown here. Test those in a real channel.
- Documents that are still processing may not be used yet. The Test box tells you when that's the case.
- Anyone in the workspace can use the Test box, Viewers included.
- A good habit: after you change a document or rule, ask the same question again and compare.
